Your Health is Your Responsibility, Period!
So, I think we have all had that person in our life that constantly complains about being in a toxic relationship, and they come to you over and over again with a similar story about how terrible things are, how they can’t do this one more day…BUT you know when it’s all said and done (because you have listened to this dialogue for years) that they really won’t do anything about it until things get to the point where they have no choice.
This scenario is really the NORM when it comes to Preventative Health.
Now before you think I’m being totally insensitive, hear me out…
When it comes to your health, waiting until you feel comfortable, or until you feel ready is definitely NOT the way to go.
There’s a saying that says, “Tomorrow is not promised.”
Damn Right!
There are so many reasons why people put off their health, and most of those reasons are rooted in limiting beliefs, old stories, and/or complete denial/disassociation.
They somehow think that “it will all be fine.”
Until it isn’t…
Here’s what can happen when our excuses, beliefs and shortcuts get in the way:
You end up spending more money in the end.
You will waste more time with doctors, referrals, prescriptions, all of which likely won’t get to the root cause.
You will become less and less connected to your body - therefore knowing less about what your body needs, and very little about how to advocate for yourself.
You fall victim to treating “symptoms”.
Instead of thriving you are just surviving.
You reinforce the unconscious belief that “You don’t deserve to feel good”, that “You aren’t worthy.”
Throughout my own health journey I have had doctors tell me that my symptoms are normal, that I was irrational, and that there is no evidence to support my opinion. But I knew better!
AND…So do YOU!
This is why I feel so strongly about coaching, and helping others understand their bodies, believe in themselves and discover a sustainable way of life that actually helps them thrive!
So I ask you, are you in the driver's seat of your health?
I’m here when you are ready.
