Exercise can feel overwhelming, especially with so much conflicting information out there. But here’s a reminder: any movement more than what you’re doing now is a win! If you’re 35+ and still trying to keep up with the routines from your 20s or early 30s, it’s time for a new strategy.

Prioritize resistance training! Start with proper form, build gradually, and remember: that progress comes from increasing weight/load over time. Consistent resistance training = long-term mental and physical resilience. But remember, you don't have to KILL yourself for results. Stop comparing yourself to the fitness posts that keep you from feeling strong and confident! Just Start!
Cardio has its place too! It’s fantastic for heart health, mental wellness, and burning calories, but remember—balance is key. Too much can work against you, especially for women. That being said, don't be afraid of cardio! It's an excellent tool for fat loss, mood, depression and anxiety.
Don’t be afraid to seek guidance. Start small, stay consistent, and know that everyone begins somewhere. It doesn't have to be complicated or overwhelming, but it does require you to get out of your comfort zone.
And lucky for you, this is one of my areas of expertise (including uncovering any negative “self-talk” that could be sabotaging your ability to start or see results)!
